North Eastern Federal University

North Eastern Federal University was established in 1956 and found in Yakutsk city of Russia which is known worldwide as the diamond capital, the territory of the Pole of Cold and permafrost.
NEFU is the largest higher education institution in the Russian northeast and it is one of the ten federal universities of the nation.
NEFU has four campuses. The University’s main campus is located in Yakutsk and other three other campuses are in Mirny, Nerungry and Chukotka.
NEFU take part in exchange programs. Students go on internships to partner universities in China, Republic of Korea, France, universities of the University of the Arctic, Japan, etc.
The university has developed its own scholarship program for academic mobility of students and postgraduates “NEFU academic mobility”, which finances scientific and educational internships in universities – partners of NEFU
The Institute of Medicine at NEFU called as one of the oldest higher medicine institutes in the North-East of Russia.
The University occupies 40 buildings and 12 residence halls located mostly in the University campus.
The University has a Stadium, a Swimming Pool, and a Social Centre. There are 5 scientific research institutions
