NEET Counselling, Medical Colleges and MBBS seats in Uttarakhand

NEET UG counselling 2022 for Uttarakhand state will be conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU). Candidates will have to register via online mode before choice filling of their colleges. The detailed notification of Uttarakhand NEET counselling 2022 will be available on its official website.

Although the NEET UG counselling dates have already been released by MCC, the NEET-qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in this counselling process. This NEET UG counselling for Uttarakhand will be held for 1150 seats from 8 medical colleges.

There will be three parts of counselling, the First round, the second round and Mop up round followed by a stray round in which the remaining vacant seats of the first and second rounds are filled up.

Eligibility Criteria for Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2022

The Medical aspirants who belong to Gen/EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category are required to score 50 percentile and the candidates who belong to OBC/SC/ST category are required to score 40 percentile in the NEET UG Exam.

NEET UG 2022 counselling process is divided into 3 rounds:

Round 1 –  It is conducted in online mode and all government/private/deemed medical universities’ seats can be filled in this step. 

Round 2 –  It is also an online mode and here also all government/private/deemed medical universities’ seats are filled in this step. This round is almost similar to the first round but with a little difference. Basically remaining vacancies in the first round are carried forward to this round.

Mop-up round: It is also conducted in online mode. It is about filling unfilled seats in NEET counselling during round 1 and round 2 steps. A student automatically becomes eligible for this round when he/she doesn’t get a seat in round 1&2. The mop round is a step in which state-by-state counselling for medical seats takes place.

Uttarakhand NEET 2022 Counselling Document Verification

All medical aspirants have to carry the required documents for the verification process. If any candidate is found ineligible to show the documents at the time of verification, his/her candidature may be disqualified. The list of documents is mentioned below: 

  • Allotment Letter issued by MCC
  • Admit Cards of Exams issued by NTA.
  • Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA.
  • Date of Birth Certificate (in case DOB is not mentioned in the metric certificate)
  • Class 10th Certificate
  • Class 10+2 Certificate
  • Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Transfer certificate 
  • Character certificate
  • Migration letter
  • Fee payment receipt
  • Eight Passport size photographs are the same as affixed on the application form.
  • Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving License/ Passport)
  • The Candidate should also bring these certificates, if applicable: SC / ST Certificate, OBC certificate, Disability Certificate, EWS Certificate. These certificates should not be older than 6 months.
  • Gap certificate
  • For NRI/ OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities documents mandatory are a Passport copy of the candidate,  embassy certificate, Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsor is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of the study), Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsorer)

MCC conducts the NEET UG counselling to fill all India quota seats and state level seat in two rounds followed by a mop-up round. The simple steps for registration are mentioned below:

  1. Registration with all necessary details and generate a password
  • Visit the official website (http://www.hnbumu.ac.in/)
  • Click on the “New Registration” Tab 
  • Put your Roll Number, Application number and candidate name and all the required details.
  • Set your pin as per your admit card
  1. Login 
  • Use this credential for NEET counselling registration
  • Now you will be shown your details as per the NTA database
  • Verify all the information and click on confirm registration

What if you do not get any MBBS seats in NEET UG state counselling 2022?

Generally, candidates think that they only have one option i.e taking a drop to prepare for another year. And we know it is very tough to study the same syllabus again. Also, there is no surety that they would get a seat on their next attempt.
